Celebrate National Library Week with the University of Detroit Mercy Libraries!

Did you know the McNichols and Dental Campus Libraries welcome, on average, more than 1300 students, faculty, staff, and community members to the Libraries nearly every day? Every day the Libraries are open -- and the Libraries are open seven and six days a week respectively during the academic year -- patrons tap into the electronic and print resources, including online article databases, books, archives, computers, scanners, printers, and much more. Librarians and library staff answer questions, address technical concerns, and connect individuals to the information they need while ensuring everyone who visits in person or interacts with the Library online or by phone feels welcome.

And students clearly feel welcome. Student-led groups and other campus organizations hold an average of six events in the McNichols Campus Library per week over the course of a semester, with some days seeing as many as four events! In honor of National Library Week, the Dental Library will once again hold its popular Guess How Many Contest with contestants guessing how many teeth (some human and some not!), dental floss packages, toothbrushes and dentals burs, in the jar, with prizes going to the three closest guesses.

Please join us at the McNichols Campus Library on Tuesday, April 9th, at 12:30 p.m., to celebrate our Library and all of its services. As a thank you for being a part of our community, we'll have cake and a chance to win a gift card to the Campus Bookstore.
