WISH: EYELASH HAIR

WHEN A HAIR FELL OUT OF A YOUNG GIRL'S
EYELASH SHE WOULD PUT IT IN THE PALM OF HER HAND.
THEN WITH THE INDEX FINGER OF THE OPPOSITE HAND
SHE WOULD TRY TO PICK UP THE EYELASH SIMPLY BY
APPLYING PRESSURE UPON THAT FINGER AND HOPING THAT
THE HAIR WOULD STICK TO HER FINGER.
THIS WAS THE METHOD OF WISHING(MOST PROBABLY FOR A MATE)
AND HOPING THAT HER WISH WOULD COME TRUE.

Submitter comment: THE INFORMANT CLAIMS THIS METHOD OF WISHING WAS
FORMALLY USED BY THE YOUNG GIRLS OF HER TIME.
SHE ALSO REMEMBERS USING IT HERSELF.
