"TRICK OR TREAT" CUSTOM: THIS IS AN OLD IRISH PRACTICE ASSOCIATED
WITH ALL-HALLOWS EVE. THE PEASANTS WENT AROUND FROM DOOR TO DOOR
ASKING FOR ITEMS; PRAISING THOSE WHO CONTRIBUTED AND THREATENING
THOSE WHO DID NOT. THESE ITEMS WERE USED IN PREPARATION OF THE
COMING HOLIDAY.
