BRIDAL CUSTOM

ALL THE RIBBONS FROM PACKAGES AT A BRIDAL SHOWER SHOULD BE SAVED.
YOU SHOULD THEN TAKE A PAPER PLATE, CUT A HOLE IN THE MIDDLE AND
PLACE THE RIBBONS SO THE BOWS ARE ON THE TOP AND THE STREAMERS
ARE HANGING THROUGH THE HOLE. THIS BOUQUET SHOULD THEN BE USED AS
THE BRIDE'S BOUQUET DURING THE WEDDING REHEARSAL.

Submitter comment: WHEN I WAS ENGAGED, THIS WAS ONE OF THE MANY CUSTOMS AND BELIEFS
TOLD TO ME BY FRIENDS. THERE WERE SO MANY THAT I DON'T REMEMBER
WHO TOLD ME WHICH CUSTOM.

Where learned: MICHIGAN ; DETROIT

Subject headings: CUSTOM FESTIVAL -- Marriage
