'Twas a Day in Mid-September
'Twas a day in mid-September
As well as I remember
I was walking down the street with manly pride
When my feet began to flutter
And I slipped into the gutter
And a pig walked up and lay down by my side.
As I lay there in the gutter
My heart began to flutter
As a lady passing by was heard to say,
"You can tell a man who boozes
By the company he chooses."
And the pig got up and slowly walked away.
