CURE FOR STRINGHALT IN HORSES:
SPLIT THE SKIN ON THE INSIDE OF THE AFFECTED LEG FOUR
INCHES ABOVE THE HOOF OVER THE MAIN MIDDLE VEIN OF THE
LEG. UNDERNEATH THE VEIN YOU WILL FIND A SMALL CHORD
ABOUT THE SIZE OF REP STRAW. THIS TAKEN UP WITH AN AWL
OR SOME LIKE SMALL INSTRUMENT AND CUT INTO WILL
UNDOUBTEDLY CURE. THE OPERATOR MUST BE CAREFUL AND NOT
CUT THE VEIN OR ANY OF THE SWINEWES (SIC) OF THE LEG AND
THERE ARE SEVERAL IN THAT REGION OF THE LEG. WASH THE
WOUND TWICE EVERYDAY WITH WARM SOAP SUDS UNTIL HEALED.
