BELIEF
NEVER FEED A BABY NEW POTATOES OR FRESH CORN DURING HIS FIRST
SUMMER.
Submitter comment:
THIS BELIEF DATES BACK TO DAYS WHEN BABY FOOD WAS UNKNOWN. THE
DIGESTIVE SYSTEMS OF YOUNG CHILDREN COULD NOT ACCOMODATE NEW
POTATOES OR CORN AND OFTEN WOULD DEVELOP DIARRHEA AND DIE.
