ANN: ABOUT PUTTING A SPELL ON PEOPLE?
THE FIRST TIME I WAS MARRIED, I FELT LIKE
SOMETHING UNDER MY SKIN CRAWLING. I'D HEAR
BELLS AND TRAINS AND AROARING IN MY HEAD.
I'D PULL THE CURTAINS DOWN AND I'D WAKE
UP AND NOT KNOW WHAT I'D DONE. THEN WHEN
I'D COME TO SPRINGFIELD FROM PORT ROYAL
I'D FEEL BETTER.
ANN: YOU WERE LIVING IN PORT ROYAL THEN?
LOUISE: YES, DADDY TOOK ME TO THE DOCTOR
AND HE GAVE ME SOME OIL, SOME CASTOR OIL,
EVERY THIRTY MINUTES. SO I DID TAKE HIT.
ANN: THEN YOU WENT BACK TO PORT ROYAL AND THE
GIRL--WHAT HAPPENED?
LOUISE: I KNEW SHE WAS RUNNING AROUND WITH
MY HUSBAND, SO I WAS RUNNING AROUND TOO.
THE GIRL, SHE WAS PREGNANT AND SHE DIED
CAUSE SHE TRIED TO DESTROY THE BABY AND I GOT
ALL RIGHT.
ANN: WHO PUT THE SPELL ON YOU?
LOUISE: MAYBE THE GIRL OR SOMEONE ELSE. BUT
I KNOW AFTER SHE DIED I GOT ALL RIGHT.
