BELIEF - CUSTOM
WHEN A BABY BOY IS BORN, THE AFTERBIRTH IS DRIED CAREFULLY IN
AN OVEN. THE HUSBAND WEARS A BAND OF THE DRIED AFTERBIRTH ON
HIS HAT. HE BELIEVES THIS GIVES HIM STRENGTH. THIS IS A
CUSTOM OF THE BAHAMA NEGROES IN THE MIAMI AREA LABOR CAMPS.
