THERE IS A BELIEF THAT YOUNG GIRLS DO TO FIND OUT WHO
THEIR HUSBAND WILL BE. THEY PLACE SCISSORS IN THE
BOOK OF RUTH (THE BIBLE) AND TIE A STRING SECURELY
AROUND THE BIBLE. THEN TWO PEOPLE HOLD ONE END OF
THE SCISSORS AND ONE GOES THROUGH THE ALPHABET UNTIL
THE BIBLE TURNS TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE LETTER NAMED BY
THIS THE GIRL CAN TELL THE INITIALS OF HER FUTURE
HUSBAND.

Submitter comment: I DID THIS WHEN 15 OR 16 YEARS OLD AND REALLY BELIEVED
IN IT.
