LEGEND OF THE LOST DUTCHMAN

THERE IS A LEGEND ABOUT A GROUP OF MOUNTAINS EAST OF
PHOENIX (ARIZONA), NAMED SUPERSTITION MOUNTAINS. IT IS
BELIEVED THAT MANY YEARS AGO, A DUTCHMAN FOUND
MONTEZUMA'S TREASURE, IN THESE PARTICULAR MOUNTAINS.
HE WAS KILLED BEFORE HE COULD TELL ANYONE OF HIS DISCOVERY.
BUT, HE LEFT MARKINGS OF HIS TRAIL AS WELL AS MAPS. TO
THIS DAY PEOPLE ARE CONSTANTLY SEARCHING FOR THIS LOST
TREASURE.

Submitter comment: THE INFORMANT TOLD ME THAT SOMEONE HAS CLAIMED TO HAVE
FOUND MONTEZUMA'S TREASURE. HE ALSO SAID THAT THIS CLAIM
WAS MADE IN THE PAST YEAR, BUT ADDED THAT THIS IS NOT
THE FIRST TIME A CLAIM HAS BEEN MADE ON THIS TREASURE.
TO NO AVAIL.
