CURSE: NOSE

IT IS BELIEVED BY SOME PEOPLE THAT IF YOU TELL A
LIE, YOUR NOSE WILL FALL OFF.

Submitter comment: INFORMANT REMEMBERS HAVING HIS PARENTS TELL HIM THIS
WHEN HE WAS A YOUNG BOY. THIS WAS TO PREVENT HIM
FROM TELLING LIES. HIS PARENTS AND HIMSELF NOW
CLAIM THAT THEY KNOW OF NO ONE WHO HAS LOST A
NOSE BECAUSE OF TELLING LIES, BUT IT IS STILL
BELIEVED BY SOME.
