TRADITION STARTED DURING WORLD WAR I. HE SAID
THAT IF THREE SOLDIERS GOT A LIGHT ON THE SAME
MATCH, THE ENEMY WOULD HAVE TIME TO SPOT THEM
BECAUSE OF THE LIGHT FLICKERING.
