MRS. CIVITELLA SAID THAT IT WAS AN OLD SUPERSTITION
THAT IF A DISH BREAKS BEFORE TEN IN THE MORNING,
SOMEONE IN THE FAMILY WILL DIE. SHE WITNESSED
THIS FACT WHEN ONE OF HER SISTERS BROKE A DISH,
AND THEIR AUNT DIED THE NEXT DAY.
