THIS BELIEF OF AN OUT-OF-THE-ORDINARY ANNOUNCEMENT OF
A FAMILY DEATH WAS TOLD TO ME BY MY AUNT WHO IS OF
LITHUANIAN DESCENT BUT MY MOTHER WHO IS POLISH ALSO
SAID HER PEOPLE BELIEVED IN IT. THE SIGN WAS TOLD
AS AN ACTUAL EXPERIENCE.
ONE DAY AS MY AUNT WAS DUSTING HER WEDDING PICTURE,
(IT) WAS KNOCKED OVER AND FELL TO THE FLOOR. A FEW
MINUTES LATER NEWS ARRIVED OF MY GRANDMOTHER'S
DEATH WHICH WAS TO HAVE OCCURRED AT THE SAME TIME AS
THE PICTURE'S FALL.
