THE KINDER POLKA (GERMAN)

THE CHILDREN FORM AS COUPLES IN A SINGLE CIRCLE. THE COUPLES
FACE EACH OTHER AND JOIN BOTH HANDS--EXTENDING THEIR ARMS
OUTWARD. THEY TAKE TWO SLIDING STEPS INTO THE CIRCLE, STAMP
THREE TIMES, REVERSE DIRECTION, TAKING TWO SLIDING STEPS AND
THEN STAMPING THREE TIMES. FACING THEIR PARTNER, THEY EACH
SLAP THEIR OWN THIGHS, CLAP ONCE, SLAP EACH OTHERS HANDS
THREE TIMES. THEN, EXTENDING THE RIGHT FOOT FORWARD, THEY
REST THE RIGHT ELBOW IN THE LEFT HAND, SHAKE THEIR FINGER
THREE TIMES. THEY REPEAT THE SAME MOTIONS WITH THE LEFT
FOOT AND ARM. NEXT, THEY TURN AROUND IN PLACE, STAMP
THREE TIMES, AND REPEAT THE MOTIONS AGAIN.
