GHOST PROSE

THIS STORY WAS TOLD TO ME BY A FRIEND IN LOUISIANA WHO HAD LIVED IN
THE PHILIPPINES BEFORE HE CAME TO THE SOUTH. HE TOLD ME A STORY OF A
GIRL WHO WAS MURDERED UNDER THIS BRIDGE. THE GIRL WOULD HANG OUT UNDER
THE BRIDGE AND WHEN A CAR WENT BY, SHE WOULD TRY TO
STOP THE CAR BY
STANDING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. NOW, THIS BRIDGE WAS
OUT IN THE
COUNTRY AND IT WASN'T USED VERY MUCH. WELL, IT SO HAPPENS THAT MY
FRIENDS' COUSIN HAD JUST BOUGHT A NEW SPORTS CAR AND WAS OUT JOY
RIDING
IN THE COUNTRY WITH THE TOP DOWN. AS HE WENT OVER THE BRIDGE, HE
SAW THE GIRL, BUT KEPT RIGHT ON GOING. THE NEXT THING HE KNOWS IS
THAT
THE GIRL WAS SITTING IN THE CAR IN THE SEAT NEXT TO HIM. ALL THE
GUY COULD DO IS STEP ON THE GAS AND DRIVE LIKE HECK AS FAR AWAY FROM
THE BRIDGE AS HE COULD AS FAST AS HE COULD. NOW, MY FRIEND CLAIMS
THAT
GIRL WHO WAS MURDERED UNDER THIS BRIDGE. THE GIRL WOULD
HANG OUT UNDER THE
HALF BEFORE IT DISAPPEARED INTO THIN AIR.
