TROIKA (RUSSIAN FOLK DANCE)

THE RECORD FOR THIS DANCE IS: KOSTYA POLIANSKY & ORCHESTRA
THE GROUP STANDS IN A CIRCLE IN LINES OF THREE WITH HANDS
JOINED. THE DANCE IS AS FOLLOWS:
1. TAKE FOUR QUICK LEAPS ON A DIAGONAL TO THE RIGHT.
2. TAKE FOUR QUICK LEAPS ON A DIAGONAL TO THE LEFT.
3. TAKE EIGHT RUNS FORWARD WHILE STILL IN CIRCLE FORMATION.
4. THE INNER TWO PEOPLE HOLD UP THEIR ARMS WHILE THE
OUTSIDE PERSON GOES IN FRONT OF THE MIDDLE PERSON AND
UNDER THE ARCH--BACK INTO PLACE (8 STEPS) WHILE THE OTHER
TWO FOLLOW THROUGH BY TURNING AROUND.
5. THE INNER PERSON THEN REPEATS NO. 4
6. THE THREE THEN FORM A CIRCLE AND GO TWELVE RUNNING STEPS
TO THE LEFT AND STAMP THREE TIMES.
7. REPEAT SAME CIRCLE FORMATION TO THE RIGHT.
8. NOW IN POSITION TO BEGIN AGAIN.
