WHEN THE BRIDE AND GROOM GET TO THE RECEPTION HALL,
THEY ARE GREETED BY THE MATRON OF HONOR. THE MATRON OF
HONOR HAS A TRAY CONTAINING A LITTLE SALT AND A
DRINK UPON IT AND THEY (BRIDE AND GROOM) EAT SOME
SALT AND SIP THE DRINK WHILE THE MATRON OF HONOR
ANNOUNCES THAT THEY WILL NEVER THIRST OR HUNGER IN
THEIR MARRIAGE.
