The Boogie Man

I can remember going into some dark place in the house, such as
the stairway leading to the basement or a room and my father would
say, "The boogie man is going to get you." I would come running
out as fast as I could to try to get to my mother for security.

Submitter comment: That was my father's way of keeping me from going into dark
places without light or supervision.
