The James T. Callow Folklore Archive
My mother and your mother were hanging out clothes.
My mother socked your mother right in the nose.
What color was the blood?
Submitter comment:
This is said prior to the start of such games as "tag" or
"hide and seek" to see who is going to be it. One person is
chosen to give a color for the blood and after it is spelled
out, the person that the last letter stops at, is it.
