WHEN ONE OF THE INFORMANT'S AUNTS WAS A LITTLE GIRL,
SHE HAD GONE OFF TO HIDE BEHIND A DOOR AND SHE FELL
ASLEEP. THE ADULTS IN THE HOME, WHEN THEY REALIZED
SHE WAS MISSING, BEGAN TO SEARCH FOR HER. THEY BECAME
FRANTIC WHEN THEY COULDN'T FIND THE GIRL. ALL AT ONCE
A WIND FILLED THE ROOM AND A FIGURE APPEARED AND
POINTED TO WHERE THE YOUNG GIRL LAY SLEEPING. ALL THOSE
WHO CLAIMED TO HAVE WITNESSED THIS BELIEVED THE FIGURE
WAS THE GHOST OF THE GIRL'S GRANDMOTHER WHO HAD COME TO
THEIR AID.

Submitter comment: THE INFORMANT LEARNED THIS STORY IN DETROIT WHEN SHE
WAS A YOUNG GIRL, BUT IT WOULD HAVE TAKEN PLACE IN
SICILY IN THE DELUCA'S HOME.

Where learned: MICHIGAN ; DETROIT
