TO CLEAR UP A SPRAIN OR SWELLING, MY AUNT'S GRANDMOTHER
WOULD TAKE POKE BERRIES AND ALUM AND BOIL IT. THEN THIS
MIXTURE WOULD BE PLACED INTO A POULTICE AND PLACED ON THE
SPRAIN OR SWELLING.
