The Red Plate
When a child in the Susa family has a birthday or a special
day, the child gets to use a red plate for dinner which says
in white, "You are special." The plate is hidden in the top
cupboard where no one will see it if not in use.
Submitter comment:
It is a special plate because Michelle's face lit up when she
spoke about it.
