POLISH EASTER CUSTOMS

EASTER EGGS ARE DYED BY BOILING WHITE EGGS IN
ONION SKINS. IF THEY ARE ONLY BOILED FOR A
FEW MINUTES THEY WILL BE YELLOW. IF BOILED LONGER
THEY WILL BE ORANGE. IF BOILED EVEN LONGER THEY
WILL BECOME RED-BROWN. ONLY THE RED TYPE OF ONIONS
WILL GIVE COLOR. THE EGGS ARE TAKEN TO CHURCH ON
HOLY SATURDAY TO BE BLESSED.
