JIM MORRISSON, LEADER OF THE MUSICAL GROUP "THE DOORS,"
REPORTEDLY DIED IN 1972 IN PARIS. IT IS BELIEVED BY SOME OF HIS FANS
THAT HE FAKED HIS DEATH AND IS ALIVE TO THE PRESENT DAY.
IT IS ALLEGEDLY QUITE EASY TO OBTAIN A DEATH CERTIFICATE IN
FRANCE. THE ONLY PEOPLE KNOWN TO HAVE SEEN HIS CORPSE ARE NOW
DEAD THEMSELVES. THIS IS ONLY A RUMOR. IT WILL PROBABLY
NEVER BE SOLVED SINCE IT IS DOUBTFUL THAT HIS GRAVE WILL BE
EXHUMED TO EITHER PROVE OR DISPROVE IT.
HIS REASON FOR DOING THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE THAT HE WAS TIRED
OF THE PRESSURES OF SUPERSTARDOM AND SAW A STAGED DEATH
AS HIS ONLY MEANS OF ESCAPE.
