BEDTIME TREAT

WHEN MY GRANDMOTHER WAS YOUNG, SHE AND HER BROTHERS
AND SISTERS HAD TO HAVE A NIGHTLIGHT LIT ALL NIGHT,
TO KEEP THE BOGIE MAN AWAY. THEY BELIEVED IN THIS
STRANGE CHARACTER AND WERE VERY FEARFUL OF HIM. THEY
EACH HAD THEIR OWN IDEA OF WHAT HE LOOKED LIKE. IF
THEY WERE BAD, THEY WOULD HAVE NO LIGHT. THEIR FATHER
TOLD THEM ABOUT THIS MAN IN THE FIRST PLACE.
