WHENEVER SOMEONE DIES, IT IS CUSTOMARY FOR THEIR MATE
(HUSBAND OR WIFE) TO WEAR SOMETHING BLACK FOR ONE FULL
YEAR.

Submitter comment: INFORMANT SAID MANY ARMENIANS STILL HOLD TO THIS CUSTOM.
INFORMANT ACTUALLY OBSERVED THIS CUSTOM AFTER THE DEATH
OF HER HUSBAND.
