THE ABSENT-MINDED PROFESSOR

DR. JAY SMITH OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DETROIT BIOLOGY
DEPARTMENT IS SAID TO HAVE DRIVEN HIS CAR FROM THE
UNIVERSITY TO THE COLLEGE PARK POST OFFICE BRANCH
ONE DAY. WHEN HIS BUSINESS AT THE POST OFFICE WAS
COMPLETED, DR. SMITH WALKED BACK TO THE UNIVERSITY.
AT THE END OF THE DAY, DR. SMITH WENT OUT TO THE PARKING
LOT TO GET INTO HIS CAR AND DRIVE HOME. WHEN HE COULD
NOT FIND THE CAR WHERE HE HAD LEFT IT THAT MORNING,
DR. SMITH CALLED THE POLICE TO REPORT IT STOLEN.
