THE DRUNK

THERE WAS A HOUSING SHORTAGE IN TOWN, SO THE MADAME HAD
A GIRL WORKING IN EVERY SPOT IN THE HOUSE. ONE GUY CAME
IN, GOT HIMSELF A GIRL AND SINCE THERE WERE NO ROOMS
AVAILABLE, THE MADAME TOLD THEM TO GO UP ON THE ROOF,
WHICH WAS FLAT. WHILE THEY WERE GOING AT IT HOT AND
HEAVY, THEY HAPPENED TO FALL OFF. A DRUNK PASSED BY,
TOOK ONE LOOK AT THEM AND WALKED AROUND TO THE FRONT
OF THE HOUSE AND ASKED FOR THE MADAME. SHE TOOK ONE
LOOK AT HIM AND SAID, "WE DON'T ALLOW DRUNKS WITH OUR
GIRLS." HE REPLIED, "I DON'T WANT ANY GIRL TONIGHT,
I JUST WANTED TO TELL YOU THAT YOUR SIGN FELL DOWN."

Submitter comment: THE INFORMANT HEARD THIS FROM A NEIGHBOR OF HIS. HE
DOES NOT KNOW WHEN OR EVEN WHO THIS NEIGHBOR WAS.
