PROVERB

"I'M AS TIRED AS A HESPERUS"

Submitter comment: A SAYING I COLLECTED THAT IS SO FAR REMOVED FROM THE ORIGINAL SOURCE
THAT THE ORIGNAL MEANING WAS FORGOTTEN BY THIS INFORMANT, AND
IT IS JUST A PROCLAMATION OF BEING TIRED. A HESPERUS IS AN
EVENING STAR AND THUS THE SAYING MIGHT HAVE COME FROM THE FACT THAT
PEOPLE USUALLY ARE TIRED WHEN THE EVENING STARS COME OUT AT NIGHT.

Where learned: MICHIGAN ; DETROIT
