DRESS
POLAND'S NATIVE COSTUMES APPEAR IN THE COUNTRY, THE FARMS, AND THE
CITIES. ON HOLIDAY OCCASIONS, THE FARMER WOMEN WEAR THE OLD
SERDUSZEK, OR EMBROIDERED VEST, WITH SKIRTS OF MANY COLORS.
THERE IS MUCH FLAUNTING OF RIBBONS AND AT THE NECK ARE WORN
STRINGS AND STRINGS OF BEADS MADE OUT OF CORAL. SOMETIMES AS
MANY AS A DOZEN AT A TIME, AND IN MOST CASES THEY ARE FAMILY
HEIRLOOMS.
