A POLISH SONG: THE PRINCESS

ONCE A FAIR-HAIRED PRINCESS
HAD A BEAUTIFUL DREAM
THAT SHE BRAIDED WHITE ROSES
INTO HER FLAXEN HAIR
AND JOHNNY CAME TO HER.
ON HIS VIOLIN HE PLAYED
AND SAID "LET'S GO PRINCESS
TO PICK WHITE LILIES OF THE VALLEY."
(REPEAT ""LET,S GO....)

THE FAIR HAIRED ONE AWOKE
THE SPELL OF NIGHT WAS GONE
TWAS ALREADY MORNING AND ON THE SKY
THE SUN,S GOLDEN BEAMS WERE SEEN.
SHE CLOSES HER BEAUTIFUL EYES
AND WISHES TO SLEEP AGAIN
WHEN A REAL PRINCE BEFORE HER STANDS
THE SAME HANDSOME ONE.
(REPEAT "LET,S GO...)

THEY WENT TOGETHER FAR INTO THE WOODS,
WHERE THE LILIES ARE.
HE CHARMED THE WOOD FAIRIES
PLAYING ON HIS VIOLIN.
THEN SOME BUTTERFLIES APPEARED
WITH SHINY, COLORFUL WINGS.
AND THEY TOOK THEIR HANDS
AND SURROUNDED HER.
(REPEAT"LET,S GO...")
