INDIAN MARRIAGE CUSTOM
WHEN TWO PEOPLE WANT TO GET MARRIED, THEY NOTIFY THEIR MOTHER.
SHE IN TURN NOTIFIES THE FATHER. THEN THE TWO OF THEM NOTIFY THE
GIRL'S PARENTS. THE FAMILIES ARE INTRODUCED AND NOTHING IS DONE
UNLESS THE ENTIRE FAMILY CONSENTS THAT THE FAMILY IS WORTHY AND
RESPECTABLE. THIS IS A RESULT OF A HIGH TRADITIONAL PRIDE IN
ONE'S OWN FAMILY.
