OUR WELL AT OUR COTTAGE AT FARWELL LAKE WAS FOUND
BY THE WATERWITCHING METHOD. MRS. GEORGE CRAMER,
NOW DECEASED FOR FIVE OR SIX YEARS, USED A PEACH
BOUGH TO FIND THE WELL. I WAS ONLY TEN OR ELEVEN
YEARS OLD, BUT I REMEMBER TRYING IT MYSELF. WHEN
I WALKED OVER THE SPOT SHE DID, I COULD FEEL IT
PULLING DOWNWARD TOWARD THE GROUND. MY FATHER AND
MY UNCLE WERE WITH ME, BUT WHEN THEY WERE UNABLE
TO MAKE THE WATER ROD WORK FOR THEM. MRS. CRAMER
HAD NO EXPLANATION WHY SOME PEOPLE COULD DO IT AND
WHY SOME COULDN'T.

Where learned: FARWELL LAKE

Subject headings: BELIEF -- Use of Object Plant
