CAMBODIAN SOLDIERS OFTEN WEAR RED UNDERSHIRTS, WHICH TO
THEM HAS SPECIAL POWERS. THEY ALWAYS WEAR THE SHIRT
WHEN ANTICIPATING TROUBLE AND IF A FIREFIGHT ERUPTS
THEY WILL SIT UP, WITH A TOOTH OF SOME KIND, LINKED
TO A CHAIN, IN THEIR TEETH. THEY BELIEVE THESE
CHARMS WILL PROTECT THEM FROM BULLETS.

Submitter comment: SCOUTS I WORKED WITH ACTUALLY BELIEVED THIS. IT
DIDN'T ALWAYS WORK, HOWEVER.

Where learned: MICHIGAN ; DETROIT ; CAMBODIA
