" THE AREA IN WHICH I LIVE USED TO BE ALL SWAMPY. THE INDIANS
BELIEVED THAT WHEN AN INDIAN OR WHITE MAN WENT INTO THE AREA AND DID
NOT RETURN THAT THE DEVIL HAD CAPTURED HIM. SO THAT IS HOW DEVIL'S
HOLE ROAD GOT ITS NAME. "
