University Archives Collection

This collection of archives contains records, publications, and audio-visual materials of three institutions. Some records remain in the confidential files with permission for access determined by the President of the University.

SUB-COLLECTIONS:

• University of Detroit (1877 - 1990)
• Mercy College of Detroit (1941 - 1990)
• University of Detroit Mercy (1990 - present)

The University Archives also include:

• Consolidation Archive Collection (Confidential)
  Records from the University of Detroit and Mercy College of Detroit pertaining to the consolidation of the two institutions. Some duplicates of these records also appear in each institution's papers. Permission for access determined by the Dean of Libraries/Instructional Design Studio.
• The Dental Collection
  Records, publications, and audio-visual materials of the School of Dentistry since its founding in 1932. For continuity, this collection continues past consolidation.
• Football Collection
  Records, publications, and photographs from the founding of the team in 1896 to its dissolution in 1964.
