He stressed that those seeking to immigrate to Hayti would find it rich in natural resources, especially cotton and coffee, which offered competition to slave-grown produce in the U.S. [This speech is a continuation of speech 24115, published in the June 15, 1861 issue of the Pine and Palm.]
