Traditional grading systems rely on points and percentages that can heighten students’ stress and narrow students’ focus on genuine learning. Alternative Grading Systems (AGS) challenge these models by emphasizing student growth, reflection, and learning [1-5]. AGS may use a multitude of frameworks, such as pass/no pass, token systems, and opportunities for reassessments, to promote deeperunderstanding of the material.​
