The Contemporary Pacific provides a publication venue for interdisciplinary work in Pacific studies with the aim of providing informed discussion of contemporary issues in the Pacific Islands region. It features refereed articles that examine social, economic, political, ecological, cultural, and literary topics. It also includes political reviews, book and media reviews, resource reviews, and a dialogue section that allows flexible publication of diverse genres of writing, including interviews and short essays. Each issue highlights the work of a Pacific Islander artist. (Project Muse)
"Pacific Islands Report is a nonprofit news service of the Pacific Islands Development Program. The web- publication offers an edited digest of news, commentary and analysis from across the Pacific region, Mondays through Fridays. Its purpose is to facilitate communication within the Pacific basin and among developing Pacific nations. The service is underwritten by the East-West Center. All stories posted in Pacific Islands Reports are reprinted with the permission of its contributing partners and remain the property of copyright holders."
