University of Detroit Chorus Collection

Don Large had in his possession a great many slides that highlighted the activities of the University of Detroit Chorus over the years of its existence. BOX “II” of his collection contained 206 slides of activities that took place between 1968 and 1971. Along with each box of slides, Don Large included a short description of each slide. Since the paper he used was letter sized, he wrote small and often used abbreviated names such as “Wally B” or Kitti Sch”. Also, due to limited available space on the page, some of his handwriting was difficult to read.

To determine the full names of people Don Large identified in this way and to decipher the writing, a list of Chorus member names from the University of Detroit Yearbooks for 1968 through 1971 was used. When a roster of member names was not available, people in the photos in this collection were left unidentified. Please contact the University of Detroit Mercy main library if you have any information regarding names of Chorus members pictured within this collection.
